Various conditions can affect nerves and may cause neuropathic pain as one of the features of the condition. These include the following:

Trigeminal neuralgia, post herpetic neuralgia (pain following shingles), Pain following chemotherapy, Spine surgery, HIV infection, Multiple sclerosis, Alcoholism, Cancer, Atypical facial pain, Auto accident, Broken bones and Various other uncommon nerve disorders.

Neuropathic pain often seems to have no obvious cause; some common causes of neuropathic pain include:

Alcoholism, Amputation, Back, leg, and hip problems, Chemotherapy, Diabetes,  Neuropathic pain results from damage to or dysfunction of the peripheral or central nervous system.

Neuropathic pain is resulting from injury or malfunction of the nerves or spinal cord.  it may cause by;

Trigeminal neuralgia, sciatica, post herpetic neuralgia, diabetic neuropathy, phantom limb pain, multiple sclerosis, chemotherapy, HIV infection, alcoholism, cancer,  back problem and spine surgery.

Causes of female genital pain include:

Cancers, such as cervical, endometrial, vaginal, ovarian, or vulvar.  Side effects of pelvic radiation, radiation implants, or chemotherapy. Decreased vaginal lubrication or painful intercourse.

Cancer and its treatments can be painful. A tumor that presses on bones, nerves, or organs can cause pain. Surgery for cancer can cause pain. So can chemotherapy and radiation. There are a number of ways to control each of these kinds of pain.
