When kidney stones caught in the tubes leading from the kidney to the urinary tract, causes great pain. Most stones eventually pass without surgery, despite the pain. Doctors know that people who have had kidney problems or have a family history of kidney stones are more likely to develop them.

Kidney pain associated with infection is due to inflammation of the kidney tissues. Urinary tract infection is also another common cause of kidney pain, especially in women. Kidney infection is also referred to as pyelonephritis.

Neck pain arises from injuries to different parts of the neck, which can lead to temporary or chronic pain. The cervical spine (neck) supports the weight of your head and protects the nerves that come from your brain to the rest of the body.

Acute neck pain are due to a muscle, ligament or tendon strain, which is usually caused by a sudden force or from straining the neck (e.g. sleeping in the wrong position). If you have neck pain that lasts longer than two weeks to three months, or with arm pain, numbness or tingling, there is often a specific anatomic abnormality.

Pain stemming from a kidney infection typically is in the area of the back where the kidneys lie, located to the sides of the spine, just above the hips. Kidney related pain often presents as tenderness in this area. Direct injury or trauma to the back, over the area where the kidneys are located, can cause direct injury to the kidneys themselves, and that is why getting struck in this area is commonly referred to as a “kidney punch.”

Kidney infection pain usually comes from the organ itself but often appears as back pain. Kidney pain is also quite tricky because it can radiate to many different parts of the body. It is also acute in origin, meaning that it usually has a very rapid onset, and typically does not last any longer than the infection in the kidneys will last. Kidney infection pain goes away with the healing of a kidney infection, or passing of a kidney stone. Back pain from trauma to the back, however, usually does not go away this quickly.

We have a tendency to take our teeth for granted. Most of us live in an illusion that whatever we do or however we abuse our teeth, nothing grave would ever happen. These same beliefs are passed on to our children. These beliefs were fine in the olden days when there were no chocolates, no sticky foods, and no pressure cookers. The type of food people ate were mostly coarse in nature and raw.

One of the most common problems with teeth is the development of cavities. Tooth decay or cavities were considered disease of children, but today we find many adults also getting them frequently. The outermost white covering of a tooth is Enamel, this white cover is hard and can withstand years of wear and tear. But it can not withstand acids. When foods that are rich in carbohydrates and starch remain on teeth, they are acted upon by bacteria present in the saliva, leading to the production of acids and formation of cavities.

If you’re like most women, the pain of labor and delivery is one of the things that worry you about having a baby. This is certainly understandable, because labor is painful for most women.

Pain during labor is caused primarily by uterine muscle contractions and somewhat by pressure on the cervix. This pain manifests itself as cramping in the abdomen, groin, and back, as well as a tired, achy feeling all over. Some women experience pain in their sides or thighs as well.
