The following medications may be used, based on the severity of your cancer pain:

For mild cancer pain,  anti-inflammatory medications such as ibruprofen, are often used. When pain relief is not achieved with acetaminophen or NSAID medications, opioid medications are often used, usually  hydrocodone, codeine, or oxycodone.
